It’s been a year since I started cycling and, with the colder months coming to an end, it’s time to retire the old second-hand Claud Butler Roubaix to Winter and get a new Summer bike. After getting advice from various fellow cycling enthusiasts and looking at different models, I went with my uncle’s suggestions and narrowed my choices down to two Boardman bikes – the Boardman SLR 9.0 or the Boardman Air 9.0.
So, on to the Boardman Performance Centre in Evesham to make sure I liked the look of them in person and of course make the final decision. Within minutes of seeing the Air, it was the clear winner – a good looking bike! The service at Boardman was excellent and if you’re planning on a new bike and considering Boardman, I would strongly recommend popping in and talking to their helpful staff.
So now to get my final few bits on order including new pedals, saddle bag, etc. and then on to summer training for May!
